Tuesday arrived and that meant the end of a fantastic job-shadowing experience. The day started with a modern Greek lesson devoted to history and literature. Three of the Greek teachers, Dora, Despi and Anna, showed a class in which they dealt with history and literature comparing two poets: Greek Yannis Ritsos and Spanish Federico García Lorca.

The students were sitting in groups and each group was in charge of a different aspect of the topic dealt with: Greece historical context and Metaxas, the Spanish Civil War and Franco, Yannis Ritsos, Federico García Lorca and a drama performance.

For me, this inspiring lesson became an example for an adapted future activity with my higher-level groups, since most of my older students love working in groups and admit that, despite this methodology's drawbacks, those who work learn much more than from a simple master class. But the most important thing was in my opinion how well embraced Greek students have the use of drama and performance when showing what they have learnt and what they think. And I would love to see this more often in Spain, as it provides them with a wider range of tools for them to prove their knowledge on any specific matter.

After the modern Greek's lesson we attended an English lesson with Lia Lefaki. It was devoted to the idea of learning. Again, she used a warm-up activity to get the students started on the topic. Then, she also proposed a reading, a speaking activity in groups and a writing as a summary evaluation tool.

At the end of the lesson, some students gave us a present for our students in Spain: a set of letters to start a penpal relation. I found thisreally interesting for my students, as I am certain that they will love it and it will help increase their interest in using English apart from the academical aspect of writing.
